Finessa Bloating: Why Fiber Can Cause It Too

Can Finessa cause bloating?
It can. Fibers like FOS and resistant dextrin reach the large intestine, where bacteria ferment them and make gas.
FOS is the fifth line in the 755 mg Gut Health blend. Resistant dextrin is listed under other ingredients. Ginger and milk thistle can also bring mild stomach effects (NCCIH, Milk thistle).
The sales page promises "a Flatter Belly" (Finessa sales page). We quote that to test it. No study backs it for Finessa.

Not printed. By label order, FOS is last in the Gut Health blend, so at most 151 mg. That is our arithmetic, not a lab test.
A trial of short-chain FOS used 15 to 40 g a day in healthy adults and found it well tolerated (Le Bourgot 2022, scFOS tolerance (Nutrients)). A scoop is about 1.92 g in total, so Finessa is far below those doses.

Why do prebiotics cause gas?
Prebiotic fibers feed gut bacteria. The bacteria ferment them and release gas, which can feel like bloating. Short-chain FOS was mild in healthy adults at high gram doses (Le Bourgot 2022, scFOS tolerance (Nutrients)).
Is the probiotic in Finessa meant to stop bloating?
