Finessa Editorial Standards: How We Review Supplements and Write These Pages
Our Finessa editorial standards put the Supplement Facts panel first, link every health statement to a source, and publish no invented reviews. A named medical reviewer will check health pages once one is on file. Errors are fixed in the open. We earn money from order links and say so on every page.

The method01
How does the label desk review supplements?
We start with the label and work outward. The Supplement Facts panel decides what is in the product. Everything else is a claim to check.
Each page follows the same steps. We read the panel line by line, do the arithmetic, find a source for each health statement, and then write in plain words at a middle-school reading level.
Panel first
The panel wins over the sales page, the brief and the graphics.
Do the math
We check that weights, servings and CFU agree, and we show the sums.
Find the source
Each health statement links to a government, regulator or journal source.
State the limits
We say what no one has tested, including Finessa itself.
See the result on the Supplement Facts page and in how Finessa is meant to work.
The rules02
What rules do Finessa pages follow?
Eight rules apply to every page. Breaking one is a reason to correct the page.
| Rule | What it means in practice |
|---|---|
| Label first | Facts come from the Supplement Facts panel |
| Sources linked | Health statements carry a numbered citation |
| Claims in quotes | Sales-page claims appear only inside quotation marks, with the evidence |
| Ceilings, not amounts | Hidden blend amounts are shown as arithmetic ceilings, never as measured values |
| No invented reviews | No rating, count, name or quote without a matched order |
| No treatment claims | Finessa is never said to treat, cure or detox anything |
| Honest unknowns | If we do not know, we say "not printed" or "unknown" |
| Medicines first | Every health page tells readers to keep taking prescribed medicine |
The blend rule comes from federal labeling law: parts of a blend are listed from most to least by weight, and only the total is printed (21 CFR 101.36 (proprietary blends)). From that order we can work out a ceiling for each line, and we label it as our arithmetic, not a lab test.
Sources03
Where do the sources for Finessa pages come from?
We use health agencies, regulators, medical centers and peer-reviewed journals. We checked them on October 19, 2026.
The list holds 40 verified sources, plus the sales page we read on October 18, 2026 (Finessa sales page). Examples include the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health, the Memorial Sloan Kettering herb pages, the NIH liver database and the Federal Register.
We read the key text of each source before citing it. We note when a study is in animals, uses a different dose or tested a single strain. For example, the 14-trial probiotic review found a gain of 1.3 bowel movements a week, but only for some strains (Dimidi 2014, probiotics and functional constipation meta-analysis).
We do not cite other supplement sites, forums or the seller's own material as proof of an effect. We do not copy text from other websites. Every sentence is written fresh.
We cite it for prices, directions and what it says. We never cite it as proof of an effect.
Medical review04
How will medical review of Finessa pages work?
A licensed professional will read each health page, check it against its sources and sign it. No such review is on file yet, so the reviewer box shows a fill-in slot.
We never print a name that has not agreed. We do not write "doctor reviewed" until a review exists. The reviewer's name, credentials and date will appear in the box at the foot of each page.
Pages built from the label, the sales page and linked NIH, FDA, CDC, FTC and peer-reviewed sources.
Last updated . Read our editorial standards and how we check reviews. This website is run by Gofinessa, a U.S. stocking partner for Finessa, not by the manufacturer. We earn money when you buy through our order links.
The reviewer will check that statements match the sources, that doses are not overstated, that cautions are complete, and that the page never presents a supplement as a medicine. The FDA does not approve supplements before they are sold, and a reviewer does not change that (FDA 101: Dietary Supplements).
Read who we are on the about page.
Reviews05
Why do you publish no customer reviews of Finessa?
Because none is verified. We publish a review only after it is matched to a real order and the buyer agrees.
The FTC bans fake and undisclosed insider reviews, and it can seek penalties (FTC, Fake reviews rule (2024)). Testimonials alone also do not back a health claim (FTC, Health Products Compliance Guidance). So we leave the cards empty rather than fill them.
Photos supplied by the vendor are labeled as such. We do not describe the people in them as customers. See our reviews page for how checking will work.
Corrections06
How do you correct mistakes on Finessa pages?
We fix them in the text and change the update date. We do not quietly leave an error in place.
A reader can write to the website inbox at [email protected], open on Mon-Fri 9:00am-5:00pm ET, with the page and the line. Label and source errors come first. A fix is checked against the panel or the source before it goes live.
Tracking and refunds for placed orders are not handled by that inbox. For those, call the order desk at +1 (302) 200-3480 with your order ID.
We also review each page when a source changes, when the sales page changes its price or terms, or when a reader finds a gap. Prices on this site come from the sales page, and we never show struck "was" prices (16 CFR Part 233, Guides Against Deceptive Pricing).
Money07
How does the Finessa website earn money?
Gofinessa, a U.S. stocking partner for Finessa, earns money when readers order through our links. Prices do not change because of it.
That is a conflict of interest. We handle it by writing the weak points where readers see them first: the label math, the missing trial, and a laxative herb behind a "no known side effects" line.
No brand pays for a better verdict. Our badge notes are the brand's own claims, and we say so. See testing and quality.
These pages explain a label and cite sources. They do not replace a doctor. Keep taking prescribed medicine and ask your care team before you add a supplement (FDA, Mixing medications and supplements).

Editorial standards questions
What are Finessa editorial standards?
They are eight written rules: label first, sources linked, claims in quotes, ceilings not amounts, no invented reviews, no treatment claims, honest unknowns and a reminder to keep taking medicine. Every page follows them.
How do you review supplements?
We read the Supplement Facts panel line by line, check that its numbers agree, find a government or journal source for each health statement, and state what no study has tested.
Who writes the Finessa pages?
The Finessa label desk, at Gofinessa, a U.S. stocking partner for Finessa. It is a team name, not a person. It does not make or test the powder.
Is there a doctor on your review board?
Not yet. A medical reviewer will check health pages once one agrees to be named. Until then the box shows a fill-in slot, and we do not write that a doctor reviewed a page.
Do brands pay you for good Finessa coverage?
No brand pays for a better verdict. The site earns money from order links, which is a conflict of interest we state openly and offset by putting weak points first.
How often are Finessa pages updated?
When a source changes, when the sales page changes price or terms, or when a reader reports a gap. Each page shows its update date. This round was last checked October 18, 2026.
What if I find an error on a Finessa page?
Write to the website inbox with the page and the line. We check it against the panel or the source, fix it in the text and change the update date.
