Finessa Nutrition Facts: Calories, Carbs and Minerals

Quick answer

The Finessa nutrition facts for one scoop are 10 calories, 3 g total carbohydrate, 1 mcg selenium, 40 mg sodium and 10 mg potassium. These are small amounts. The carbohydrate figure is hard to square with the blend weights, which add up to more than the scoop.

The numbers01

What are the Finessa nutrition facts per scoop?

One scoop lists 10 calories, 3 g carbohydrate, 1 mcg selenium, 40 mg sodium and 10 mg potassium.

Per-scoop values as printed on the Supplement Facts panel.
ItemPer scoop% Daily Value
Calories10Not printed
Total carbohydrate3 gLess than 1%
Selenium1 mcg2%
Sodium40 mg2%
Potassium10 mgLess than 1%

Minerals02

Do the Finessa minerals matter?

Barely. Selenium at 1 mcg is about 1.8% of the 55 mcg adult RDA (NIH ODS, Selenium fact sheet).

Sodium is 40 mg, and potassium is 10 mg. That is small next to a normal day of food. It matters only if you are told to limit either, for example on a low-sodium plan or with kidney advice from your doctor. Cascara can lower potassium and sodium with prolonged use (MSK, Cascara (About Herbs)), so people watching those levels should ask a doctor. The label lists the minerals but not how much of them the herbs add. Treat all five values as printed claims until a lab report for your lot says otherwise.

The conflict03

Why do the Finessa carbs and weights not add up?

The blends alone weigh 2,259.5 mg, while 96 g over 50 servings is about 1.92 g a scoop.

A scoop holding 3 g of carbohydrate would outweigh that 1.92 g average. We do not know which number is off. Ask for the lot's certificate of analysis, and trust the tub you receive (FDA, Dietary Supplement Labeling Guide, Ch. IV Nutrition Labeling).

One scoop04

What does one scoop hold by printed weight?

The bar shows the four blends and Akkermansia as printed. It is a picture of the label, not a measurement.

One scoop by printed number, on one scale

  1. Polyphenol Blend1,000 mg
  2. Gut Health755 mg
  3. Liver Health Blend450 mg
  4. Probiotic Blend52 mg
  5. Akkermansia2 mg

From the Supplement Facts panel: four blends and one strain line. The bars share one scale, so the probiotic lines look tiny next to the plant blends. Milligrams of live bacteria and billions of CFU are not the same measure.

In practice05

Is Finessa low in calories and carbs?

Yes, at 10 calories and 3 g a scoop as printed. That says nothing about benefit.

A low calorie count is not a weight claim. Nothing on the panel supports one. The Daily Value is not established for the blends, so their sizes have no percentage to compare with.

Read the Supplement Facts guide for the blends. Keep taking prescribed medicine, and ask a doctor before adding a supplement (FDA, Mixing medications and supplements).

FAQ06

Questions about the numbers

Does Finessa list fiber or sugar?

Not in the images we were given. The panel shows only total carbohydrate. FOS is a fiber-type ingredient, but its amount is hidden inside the 755 mg blend.

Is Finessa sugar free?

The panel prints no sugar line. It lists stevia leaf extract as a sweetener. Ask the seller if you need a confirmed sugar figure.

Does the Finessa panel list protein or fat?

Not in the images we were given. The panel prints calories, total carbohydrate, selenium, sodium, potassium and then the blends and the probiotic lines, with no fat or protein rows.

How many calories are in 50 scoops?

By the printed 10 calories a scoop, about 500 calories across a tub. That is simple multiplication, not a lab result.
